A public safety program designed to protect and locate persons missing due to wandering. The Project Lifesaver transmitter wristband is one-ounce, battery-operated, wrist radio transmitter than emits an automatic tracking signal every second, 24 hours a day. The signal can be tracked over several miles on the ground by members of the Wood County Sheriff's Office or from the air by helicopter. Program is donation-based. For persons with; Alzheimer's, Autism, Down's Syndrome, Spectrum Disorder, and Developmental Disabilities.
