File for Medicare (Part A Hospitalization and Part B Supplemental), can do so online at http://www.ssa.gov/medicareonly/
Since full retirement/full benefits do not occur until age 66, we find many people coming in or calling for Medicare sign up. Those people now can file online for Medicare A and B in the privacy of their own home almost any time of day! This will be very helpful for anyone that is self employed that wants Medicare at age 65 but is making too much money to get any cash, or for anyone that doesn't want their cash to start until later!
The application is easy and many times we don't even need to see any documents! Why waste time, parking, etc- when you could do it online?
You can now file for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and disability online at www.socialsecurity.gov/disabilityssi/
