The Lucas County Prosecutor established the Senior Protection Unit for the purpose of preventing elder abuse, protecting the elderly and prosecuting those who victimize Senior Citizens. The SPU coordinates with the Lucas County Adult Protective Services Unit in dealing with cases of elder abuse in Lucas County. The SPU welcomes the opportunity to share its expertise with any law enforcement agency seeking assistance in matters involving elder abuse.
