Ebeid Hospice Residence, a 12-bed, private room, free-standing hospice residence, is a $4 million project providing a local option for those living in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. Offering a state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly inpatient residence, the facility has received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, which is the nationally accepted benchmark for design, construction and operation of high performance “green” buildings. Using low consumption plumbing fixtures; control systems monitoring carbon dioxide concentrations to sustain patient comfort and well being; and an air system which provides 30% more fresh air than code and standards minimum requirements, the facility provides patients with the cleanest, most comfortable environment possible.
