Advocacy, Information and Referral, Speech and Hearing
The NAD website provides information on legal advocacy, self advocacy, American Sign Language, captioning, the deaf or hard of hearing community and culture, educational opportunities, interpreting, obtaining or offering mental health services, and hearing technology. They also advocate for legislation and new policies to help the hard of hearing and deaf population.
Services provided by the NAD include: grassroots advocacy and empowerment, captioned media, certification of American Sign Language (ASL) professionals, legal assistance, policy development and research, public awareness and youth leadership development.
