Sacred Heart Home Senior Center
Sacred Heart Senior Center is a ministry of the Little Sisters of the Poor. It was established in September 2004. There are approximately 35 active members on our roster and 7-10 seniors attend the program on a daily basis. The Senior Center is an extension of our home, into the community, and has allowed us to improve the quality of life for seniors in the greater Toledo area.
Social Activities & Outings
Participants are invited to join in all of the activities and outings sponsored by the Home.
We provide a continental breakfast upon arrival, dinner at 12 noon, and a box supper Home.
Participants have the opportunity to go to the Chapel. They may also attend Mass depending on the schedule, if they desire.
If needed, participants are picked up at their home between 9 and 10 am each day and are returned to their home between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
The Sacred Heart Home has a computer lab, library, and craft room for use by the participants. There are also many day trips and educational opportunities available.
Participants become part of our family and have access to the library, beauty/barber shop, library, computer lab, gift shop, and general store.
There are many opportunities for participants to volunteer their time and talent. Some ways include: office work, gardening, and sewing, visiting residents, working in the gift shop or library, and many more.
