All Lifeline subscribers annually re-certify their eligibility, subscribers who do not reconfirm eligibility may lose their Lifeline benefit.
You can qualify for Federal Lifeline Assistance, Link-Up or Service Connection Assistance in you income is at or below 135 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. You also can qualify of you are enrolled in one of the following programs:
- Medicaid
- Food Stamps
- Supplemental Security Income
- Federal public housing assistance
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) or Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
- National School Lunch Program
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
You can qualify for a local program if your income is at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty guidelines. You also may qualify for one of the local programs if you are enrolled in one of the federal qualifying programs or one of the following:
- Ohio Works First
- Disability Assistance
- Social Security Disability Income
