Provides civil legal assistance to low-income residents of western Ohio.

Legal services include real estate matters-contract probate, home repair issues - second mortgages, family law issues - divorce, APS referrals, wills, POA, advance directives and title transfer outside of probate. Additionally, legal aid continues with calls regarding housing landlord-tenant issues, Medicaid spend down-look back period, benefits-food stamps, Medicaid Expansion.
To receive legal help from Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. (LAWO), Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE) or a pro bono program, you must be: low-income; and live in one of 32-counties of northwest and west central Ohio or be an Ohio resident and have a legal problem in one of 32-counties of northwest and west central Ohio; and complete an application for services.
