Erie Metropolitan Housing Authority

Monthly rent is supplemented by the federal government for low to moderate income persons. The amount is based on income and cannot exceed 30% of adjusted gross income. Rent is reviewed annually.

Public Housing Program - Bayshore Towers: Efficiency and one-bedroom units. Applicants who are 55 and over and/or have a documented disability with no federal criminal or drug offenses within the last three years may qualify.

Public Housing and Section 8 program - Two and three and four bedroom units. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age with no felony criminal or drug offenses within the last three years.

Erie Community Plaza - Only applicants 62 years and over with no felony criminal or drug offenses within the last three years will qualify.

Applicants must apply separately for each program and will not loose their place on other waiting lists. Applicants should call to find out if waiting lists are open.
