East Toledo Senior Center

Provides services to seniors in the East Toledo area. The East Toledo Senior Activity Center provides a wide variety of program to enhance the lives of senior citizens and help them remain independent. These programs and services include:

Chore Services: (ZIP codes 43605, 43615, 43616 only) lawn care , windows, some painting, minor home repair, snow and leaf removal, etc.

Housekeeping: light housekeeping services including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry, bathrooms.

Transportation: Transportation to and from the senior center, mall, trips, etc.

Escort transportation: Transportation to and from the grocery store, pharmacy, post office, bank, etc.

Outreach: Attend agency fairs, help seniors connect to other local agencies that will benefit them, help to fill out insurance forms, HEAP, etc.

Education: Provide a variety of educational services including dance, arts, sewing, knitting instructions and educational speakers.

Health Assessments: Yearly flu shots, yearly prostate screening, several blood pressure days and educational events to better the overall health of the seniors.

Socialization: Bingo, cards, socialization, theme parties, trips, special events.

Supportive services: Income Tax preparation, monthly visit from local attorney, bus passes, referrals to other local agencies, food giveaways.

Senior Athletic League: We provide year-round athletic activities including volleyball, basketball, shuffleboard, and a senior softball league.
