Emergency Assistance with rent, mortgage, food and utilities. Will assist with filing for federal VA benefits such as compensation, pension, vocational rehabilitation, education, clothing allowance, survivor's benefits and appeals. Maintains database of Defiance County Veterans.

Honorably discharged veterans may be eligible for prescription medication thru the Veteran's Administration. Application can be obtained from the Veteran's Outpatient clinics, on-line at www.va.gov or you may contact this office and they will assist you with the application.

Once approved, eligible veterans must undergo an initial and annual physical at the VA clinics and complete any follow up testing related to the prescribed medication.

Eligible veteran's pay $8.00 per 30-day prescription. Low-income veterans or veterans with a service connected disability, may be exempt from the $8.00 fee.

Also provides assistance with funerals; Crematories, burial benefits, headstones and markers, presidential memorial certificates and military funeral honors.

Satellite office in Hicksville Village Office Building, last Wednesday afternoon of each month.
