This agency provides mammograms and pap testing services for women age 40 and over.
This program is offered to women who do not have any type of insurance, meet the age requirements and have income within 200% of poverty level. Grant funded program. Currently have one site in Wauseon serving all 10 counties in Northwest Ohio.
Call the office and talk with the "A Women First" Director. All communication is done over the phone. If requirements are met a list of contracted providers with be mailed or faxed for individual to obtain their mammogram and/or PAP exam.
-They recommend examination of your breasts every month.
-They recommend having a health professional examine your breasts for lumps every year.
-They recommend pap test and pelvic exam with your doctor every year.
-They recommend having a mammogram every year beginning at age 40.
