Public Hearing for Program Year (PY)2027-2030 Strategic Area Plan
The Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, Inc. (AOoA), hereby notifies the public of their intention to hold a Public Hearing for Program Year (PY)2027-2030 Strategic Area Plan on July 21, 2026 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio (2155 Arlington Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43609) and virtually via MS Teams.
Additionally, the AOoA, hereby notifies the public of their intention to provide Evidenced Based Wellness Programs, which require a certified trainer, Caregiver Education for family caregivers, and nutrition services for older adults in our ten-county service area for 2027 program year to persons sixty (60) years of age and older pursuant to Title IIIC, III-D and III-E of the federal Older Americans Act (as amended). The services and funding allocations are as follows: Family Caregiver Support Education $5,302 Title III-E; Nutrition Education $27,000 Title IIIC1, $9,000 Title IIIC2, $36,000 Senior Community Services; and Evidence Based Wellness Programs $24,646.09 Title IIID. The AOoA is requesting these waivers to bridge gaps in our service area and/or provide the service more economically with comparable quality.
