The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) provides eligible Ohioans assistance paying their heating bills.

HEAP benefits can help manage heating cost. Older adults (60 years or older) may visit AOoA for help with assembling the required documents and completing their HEAP application. Older adults may also visit www.energyhelp.ohio.gov or areaofficeonaging.com to apply online or to download a copy of the application.

Applicants must have the following documents when applying:

• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency for all household members

• Proof of disability (if applicable)
